End of School Year Memories

Best 1st little pig ever!
He did a great job!
And looked adorable...

Best graduate from preschool ever!
Ask grandpa...

Bravest boy ever!
Came home with me for TWO overnights!
He came far!
And he was brave...although when we got on the first highway taking him far away from home, you could hear a pin drop in the car. I would reach back and touch him...told him he was brave and told him where we were and what we would do.
The first night I laid on the other bed til he fell asleep. The second night he said, "Grandma, could you wake me up and tell me when you're going to leave?"
The chart of the solar system in the background is one our two girls would use to travel to outspace.
Ray drew the solar system. Yes we included Pluto...Pluto will always be a planet to me.

Huge memories here of the Dolly dancing in her ballet receitals. Our middle Rose did a great job, she remembered all the steps. She was brave too! And looked lovely...
Her first ballet receital with more to come, I hope.
As a special treat afterward, the Lord led us to a family of swans with EIGHT babies,
and not one of them was an ugly duckling.
AND Rose and I each found a swan feather.
So magical.
And this is just the beginning. . .

Our Hearts Are Full

What a beautiful day it was...the Saturday we ALL went strawberry picking. I was sure it would be too hot and no strawberries cause they were already picked.
As we sat on our deck baking in the hot sun at 8 am I was apprehensive. By 9:15 we were at The Farm...the place of magic and memories. The sky was blue just like one of my favorite crayons...not a cloud anywhere. It felt unending and I had a feel for why they call Montana, Big Sky. The breeze blew through our hair.
The fields were full of strawberries. The picking was easy. The kids enjoyed it. My Ray of Sunshine said he was going to find the perfect, sweet strawberry and I am sure he did.  I found an alien strawberry and was excited to give it to him, but alas it was not perfect and he did not want it. However, my Wild Blonde Boy was tickled to have it put in his basket. Jumpin J picked too and filled her basket with the help of her Gampa. Our biggest little baby had strawberry juice dripping off his chin and our middle Rose had the basket with the mostest in it.
After we were done we went in to pay and bought apple cidar donuts and all the kids had sugar lips.  Love those kisses. They ran around in the field and had races. Our middle Rose was very kind and waited for her cousin. She runs like a gazelle or is that giselle?
We went home and had lunch on the front lawn under the maple trees. The kids slip and slid all afternoon. Jumpin J was purple, but she kept going back for more.
Handsome said he is so thankful for The Farm and all of the wonderful memories it has created for our family.
2.3.4.5.6.

Strawberries mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Love the wind in the hair!

An overflowing basket of lusciousness.

Sugar lips one...

Sugar lips 2.

The most perfect, sweetest berry ever.
And a wonderful day was had by all.
Thank you to the One who made the day.

Happy Birthday to my Wild Blonde Boy

Well my cowboy, hi yo Silver, awaaaay...
You are really a Marrrrrio fan, a Donkey Kong fan and an Anry Bird fan (yes he says anry)...but to
please your Granpa you put on the hat and guns he gave you and posed like a trooper (not to be confused with a Koopa).
Happy Birthday to my gentle boy, who loves to play with his "stuff" animals too.
He has played Mario carts nicely with me. Even when he has to pick up my Weegee (Luigi) on his shoulders and have Marrrrio carry him cause, "Granma I can't stand it anymore" (That would be me being killed by those evil mushrooms or the maneating plants).
"Press "A" Granma, press "A"  ohhhhhhhh :(."
He puts his "Listening Ears" on when I read them a story. He is a good helper and he loves chocolate milk, marshmellows, hot dogs and peanut butter and jelly. We talk about many subjects such as tornados and losing your memory. He is very smart and you can reason with him. He is a chip off the old Mama block.
Happy Birthday to my Wild Blonde Boy who has also taught me so much.
Love you!
