Dear Jesus

Lord, I just want to say THANK YOU, because this morning I woke up and knew where my children were. Because this morning my home was still standing, because this morning I am not crying because my husband, my child, my brother or sister needs to be buried out from underneath a pile of concrete, because this morning I was able to drink a glass of water, because this morning I was able to turn on the light, because this morning I was able to take a shower, because this morning I was not planning a funeral, but most of all I thank you this morning because I still have life and a voice to cry out for the people of Haiti. Lord I cry out to you, the one that makes the impossible, possible, the one that turns darkness in to light, I cry out that you give those mothers strength, that you give them peace that surpasses all understanding, that you may open the streets so that help can come, that you may provide doctors, nurses, food, water, and all that they need in a blink of an eye. For all those that have lost family members, give them peace, give them hope, give them courage to continue to go on! Protect the children and shield them with your power. I pray all this in the name of Jesus!!!
This was a forward I received...it says it all so well...hear our prayers O Lord and Thank you for all you have blessed us with. Love, Baba HooHoo

Yes, we had a SUNNY weekend

We got to visit these two bright and shiny pennies. The littlest Rose is still not gaining...in fact she lost 1/4 of a pound which is the equivalent to a stick of butter. That's a lot when you're teeny tiny. So we went to visit. I had to see her and hold her. And Ray of course! The weather outside was dreary, but the babies were a joy.

Wenna Woo and I went to a Faithbooking class on Saturday. I met a nice group of women and we shared and cried a bit. I haven't been in a women's group in ever so long...it was a real nice time for both of us.
We went to Red Robin for lunch. I was going to have a salad, but ended up blurting out cheese burger and fries. Mama shared her freckled lemonade with me...I shall have to learn to make the lo cal version of that. It was yummy. We brought home only one balloon and Little Missy took to it like a duck to water. Ray wanted it too...but Mama figured things out.

Here she is eating Hawaiian Delight...love to see it dripping off her chinny chin chin. The therapist says it is good to be messy. I'll have to tell my Mom. Who knew?

I think she is really styling this dew rag and she is not afraid of water in her face...I would have been crying and howling for sure!

Frampa and Ray made some great cossee and Ray had a marshmeddow in his courtesy of the middle Rose!
We got Ray a Thomas shirt and he even took off his pajamas to wear it. This week Chuddington was the show to watch...I wasn't able to follow any of it, but the trains looked too cute.

Our Ray didn't want us to go, but Daddy distracted and he waved sweetly from the door as we headed our way back to the gray north:(
We will miss you so, my lovies.

Smile:)

Imagine its dark in the room...

you go over to the crib...

you look down...

This baby has a smile that lights up the room.

I pick him up...he keeps smiling...he feels soggy and damp...he smiles... I change him...he keeps smiling...he eats...oh no! its a short bottle...he cries...I get more...he smiles. I hold him up and say "What will you be like, my littlest man. You are going to be the best little brother." I see him looking at his sister...I feel his thoughts...he wants to ...TACKLE HER! And...he keeps smiling!

Playing hard

He was playing hard.
Good guys,
bad guys, star wars guys,
dinosaurs.
All of a sudden
I hear him singing:
"That Jesus Christ is born!"
So adorable.
We had our weekly Baba HooHoo time out...
but even if I want to let him get away with EVERYTHING...
I can't and so...
He tries hard to do the right thing, but just like in the Bible, we know what we should do and yet....

I love you my Wild, Blonde Boy...you have my heart strings, sorever!

Homemade Marshmeddows

Our middle Rose and her Mama made them!

What a treat!
Don't you want some?

Crazy Horse

He's great with the middle Rose...and the infant Ray...

He guarded our 2nd newborn little boy...

and made friends with a Ladybug...

He's a snuggle bunny...
But...

He can be one...

Wild...

Crazy...

Horse...!

He runs in circles around Handsome...he prefers fresh, fallen snow...it is a joy to watch his wild abandon and makes me feel wild and free.

He is a joy to watch...our Crazy Horse!

Hoar frost II

We went out on errands this am and I so wished I had taken my camera with me...even the shopping carts were decorated. Upon arrival at home, we dressed warmly and took Sargie poo poo for a W. This time I took my camera. The frost was starting to fall from the trees, but I did manage to capture this wonderland.Love the red berries.
This is just a weed, but what a weed all decked out in her best winter white.

Queen Annes lace is always lovely, but look at her now.

A stand of trees ready for the ball.

Weeping hoarfrost...

I am so glad I had my camera!
A hymn came to mind while I was out walking.
"O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder,
consider all the worlds thy hands have made.
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.
Then sings my soul, My Savior, God to thee...
How great Thou art...How great Thou art!"

Hoar frost

Handsome told me there was freezing fog, so I took my camera with me when I went out to get the paper. Hoarfrost is frozen dew and appears white.

Isn't it beautiful?

When we went to the UP of Michigan one time I saw some hoarfrost that looked like feathers. But this is beautiful too.

Chili Dawg, is that hoarfrost on your muzzle?
Beautiful, beautiful!

The Best Time!

Grandpa and Noah built the highest tower.

We all ate the best cupcakes, made specially by one of the Roses.

We drank the best coffee, made by Ray and Handsome.

I got to hog the little girl and foo foo her up.

Ray said, "Sister - present" Too cute and yes, little one you are a gift to us.

And I got to watch one of my babies interact with her babies.

The movie of the week was "Chicken Little"...he has glasses too. Still haven't figured out the story line, but Ray told me several times it was sad.
Grandpa got to see Ray at swimming. He loves the water, even if it is cold.
He did not want us to leave...It is hard...we left while he was napping. The next morning he cried cause he wanted Grandma to get him up. I wanted Grandma to get him up too. We will come back and play more! We love you all!

Heart Strings

Oh Grandma, we forgot to pray for lunch...

Dear Jesus, I love you so much...thanks for the lunch. Amen

It was a tiring day today...Baba HooHoo hasn't been sleeping well...I was already tired at 9:30am, then Luke Skywalker went missing. My oldest GD felt bad for me I was looking in all the wrong places for him. She told me to stop looking, he would show up and then we could play. Then somebody had a sharing problem and had to have a time out. Mr. Contentment wasn't so content today and he actually cried several times today, although he managed to wear the same sleeper all day without blowing out his diaper.

The two boys were napping. It was nearing the time when papa comes home. My oldest granddaughter and I were in the midst of some good pretend baby doll play. I had found some dolly baby outfits with hats on clearance. "Thanks Grandma. You're the best!" Yes, she really said that. The lids (that's hat if you keep up with the lingo...impressed aren't you?) didn't fit the baby doll. I told her people have different sized heads too. She said if Mama got another baby, maybe the baby could wear it if she had a small head. I asked if Mama wanted another baby. She said she had asked her, and Mama said no.

Then we heard the garage door go up. Generally papa is very well greeted. Today however, her little shoulders went down. "Oh no Papa is home. Grandma, I was hoping we could play longer. Just a little longer Grandma, please. Just sive (5) minutes." How do you resist, so I told her when the big hand was straight down that I would have to go. She peeked at the clock and said, "That's not very long". I told her sive minutes is not a very long time...but we would play hard. She gave me big hugs and kisses when it was time to go and she did not fuss when I did leave.

Even if I am mostly dead, I would not miss the time with any of the grandkids. My heart is continually moved by all that they do and say.

Food

Food, food glorious food...just wanted to share some of the holiday delights we had...and now we are paying the weight gain price...but oh it was good.
(Couldn't get the last photo to turn...I saved it rotated but hey...computers, they can drive you nuts).
